800 children join beach cleaning

Nickelodeon, the kids entertainment brand, and Children’s Movement for Civic Awareness (CMCA), an NGO, joined hands to organize cleanup drives at Girgaum and Chowpatty beaches in Mumbai following the Ganesh festival. Nickelodeon Toon Shiva along with Superstars Motu Patlu spearheaded the drive in which 800 students took part. They collected the trash that was washed ashore after the Ganesha immersions. The children were educated on the hazards of immersing POP idols, exposed to the aftermath and were also taught the advantages of using clay or eco-friendly idols.
