Imagine a robot which folds clothes, fetches beer from the fridge and also plays pool! The robot begins its work with something easy, like folding towels, before graduating to more complicated tasks (like folding a skirt). This machine is able to collect previous information and apply it in the upcoming tasks. The ‘Towel-Folding Robot’ or PR2 is the result of the efforts of Pieter Abbeel’s lab at Berkeley. In two months, they were able to get PR2 to fold 50 towels in a row.
