Air purification project by BPCL

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, in collaboration with Maharashtra Pollution Control Board and APRO Greentech, the technology & equipment supplier of the project has installed air purifier units on 100 BEST buses in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region aimed at addressing air pollution in the city. The innovative project initiated last year is a step forward by the state government concerning the deteriorating air quality in Mumbai.  Key features of the air purification project include an efficiency rating of 99.97%, triple filtration system comprising HEPA filter, prefilter & separation filter to capture pollutants, cleaning capacity of 15,000 cubic meters of air per hour, capturing 10 grams of particulate matter during a 100-kilometer journey even with AQI levels between 250-300 and serving commuters traveling approximately 200 kilometers per day
