Aman Cleaning Equipment Making Fast Strides

Unlike other countries, there are a lot of taxes that entail the purchase and sale of cleaning products in India. “This is because of the export and import duties levied on cleaning products. If import duty is reduced and export procedures made easier, the cleaning industry will grow like others,” says Anjum Wahid Khan, MD, Aman Cleaning Equipment Pvt. Ltd.

Delhi-based Aman Cleaning Equipment Pvt Ltd started operations in 2000 and today, has a full-fledged manufacturing plant in Noida. Besides manufacturing floor scrubbing machines, Aman also supplies floor cleaning equipment of Lavorwash, Ghibli, Speed Kleen and Fimap.

“We provide a wide range of equipment, right from single disc to scrubbers, sweepers and foam generators. We are providing solutions to select hotels, hospitals, schools, malls, railways and PSUs.” Having realised the potential of the ‘outsourcing model’ in housekeeping function, Aman Cleaning has focused on FM service providers by providing them with a full range of products, including tools.

With increase in demand for industrial and commercial cleaning equipment, Aman Cleaning is planning to produce fast moving machines such as auto scrubber drier. “We are also planning to launch walk behind battery and electric power scrubber drier with a tank capacity of 60/65lt. We will remain focused on basic cleaning machines.”

Under the leadership of Anjum Khan and Vikas Saxena, Aman Cleaning successfully obtained ISO 9001:2008 and other necessary certifications. The company has expanded operations and extends its sales to several cities, including Noida, Pune, Mumbai, Lucknow, Jammu & Kashmir, Rudrapur, Bharuch, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Haridwar, Ludhiana, Chennai, Raipur and Indore.

Anjum Khan began his career in the cleaning industry in 1994 with Delstar. “Many cleaning professionals in the cleaning industry started with Delstar, since it launched its first vacuum cleaner in 1967 in India. We have come a long way and there is a long way to go yet.”
