A recent study has shown that Automated Teller Machines (ATM) are as much as dirty and contain same germs as public toilets. Health experts took samples in a cleanliness test from the numeric key pads of ATMs around Britain that are in use by thousands of people every day. The health experts then took similar samples from the seats of nearby public toilets. After taking the swabs from both the areas, the samples were kept to grow overnight and both samples were found to contain bacillus and pseudomonas – bacteria responsible for diarrhoea and sickness.
