A high level Australian business delegation of Victorian Clean Technology recently visited India. The delegation comprising of seven organisations, specialising in clean technologies, clean energy & environmental management, was looking at opportunities of extending Australian technology into India. In an event organised by the Australian Trade Commission, the delegation elaborated on the sustainability & environmental related issues. The delegation included Ecotech Pty Ltd, Entura, Swinburne University of Technology, Earth Systems and VR TEK Global Pty Ltd

Speaking to Clean India Journal, Michael Vainer, Managing Director of VR TEK Global Pty Ltd, said, “VR Tek has developed a environmentally sustainable technology for recycling passenger car tyres to produce devulcanised and activated rubber powders as ingredients for various manufacturing processes. Due to the vast volume of end-of-life tyres there is scope for different tyre recycling technologies, including the current Pyrolysis technology which we understand to be used in India and China.”
