Best of waste

Concerns about the growing garbage in the city have prompted the Kulgaon-Badlapur, Municipal Council in Maharashtra to install two garbage treatment plants. These plants would treat wet waste organically and produce fertilisers which would be then sold to the farmers in the region. In its pilot stage, the council hopes to set up ten more machines across the city.
