Best out of waste

Deepalaya, a Delhi based NGO, has collaborated with the environment department of the Delhi government in launching “polylooms project” to address the issues of waste management and women empowerment. The project would support the government’s efforts in reducing plastic garbage by focusing upon waste’s optimum use. Women are being trained to convert waste cloth and polythene into articles of utility. Waste plastic would be yarned to make mats, bags and pencil holders.
