Beware of night squads

The Thiruvananthapuram City Corporation has decided to act sternly against those who find it hard to keep the city clean. Night squads will soon make their appearance at the city in a bid to keep an eye on citizens who use the dark hours to dump garbage at public places and in water bodies. Mayor C Jayan Babu said that erring people will not only be fined but will also be taken to court. There will be a 24-hour surveillance at major points in the city using camera-attached vehicles.
