Bio-toilet for police station

Wockhardt Foundation marked the World Environment day by installing its eco-friendly bio-toilets at Maurice Nagar Police station in New Delhi.

The country’s first bio-toilet in a police station was inaugurated by Bhim Sain Bassi, Commissioner of Police, New Delhi, in the presence of Dr Huzaifa Khorakiwala, CEOWockhardt Foundation and other senior police officials.

 Speaking about the installation in Delhi, Dr Khorakiwala, said, “We are happy to partner with the Delhi police’s initiative to go green. Our bio-toilet is an environment friendly concept that decomposes solid waste to water & bio gas. The initiative will also play a critical role in Preventable Healthcare as the bio-toilet eliminates diseasecausing pathogens completely.”

Bio-toilet is a complete waste management solution, which alleviates the need for expensive sewage treatment and waste management.
