Bus stop or dump?

With residents, shopkeepers and hospitals dumping garbage right in front of a bus shelter near Sirsi Road in Bangalore, the area has become a breeding ground for diseases. People urinating and defecating in the open has become a regular feature. The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike, however, has turned a blind eye despite repeated requests from residents. Due to garbage, drivers don’t stop the buses near the shelter, forcing women and children to run to catch the bus.
