Civic schools under scanner

The Human Development Index (HDI) report of MCGM says that lack of sanitation facilities in civic schools as the major cause for high dropout rates among girls. MCGM would have a ward-wise committee comprising of officials from education, SWM and health departments; to inspect and grade the education institutions (both public and private) every month on the basis of the hygiene levels in canteens and the sanitation facilities. These grades would be then displayed publicly.
