Clean Green Delhi

The upcoming 2010 Commonwealth Games have given the civic authorities in Delhi an excuse to ensure that the city is spick and span in the days preceding the games. Starting January 1, 2009, a team of 132 anti-litter inspectors have been deployed around the city for catching cleaning offenders and slapping on-the-spot penalties of 50 on them. In keeping with Supreme Court directives, the civic body has enforced the anti-litter law to sustain efforts to keep the city clean.
