Colour code for schools!

The National Urban School Sanitation Initiative recently conducted survey of 304 CBSE schools in New Delhi. The survey assessed schools on parameters such as washroom hygiene, water supply, water conservation, campus cleanliness, hygiene awareness and innovative methods towards maintaining hygiene. These schools were rated black, red, yellow, blue and green for their sanitation levels. Only four schools were rated ‘green’ & ‘blue’ for their excellent sanitation practises. The schools would be displaying their sanitation ratings in all their correspondence in the form of a coloured circle. However, if the schools improve their sanitation levels, they would be allowed to obtain a fresh certification after a gap of four months.
