Contractors sought for Dust Extraction Systems

Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), a Government of India-owned steel producer, is planning to outsource installing of Dust Extraction Systems to competent contractors for a time period of one year. SK Srivastava, Dy General Manager (Project Contracts) told Clean India Journal, “Dust Extraction (DE) Systems would be set up for coal bunkers in the power plant and blower house of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP).”

The job involves design, supply, fabrication, erection, testing and commissioning of dust extraction system. As per the contract, the contractor is supposed to perform dismantling of existing five DE systems along with power control cable and their handing over to the steel plant. Performance test of the new system in power plant and blower house of the steel plant should be complete in all respects as per the laid down guidelines. As per the eligibility criteria, the tenderer should have experience of having successfully executed a single similar work of value not less than 100 lakh during the last five years ending May 2012.
