Converting Waste to Educational Resources?

The Dr. O.P. Bhalla Foundation at Manav Rachna Educational Institution (MREI) showcased its dedication to sustainability and education through the Raddi Recycling Initiative.

Thousands of kilogrammes of wastepaper from the campus are contributing to landfills, while many schoolchildren lacked basic notebooks. MREI’s ingenious solution, launched in Faridabad in 2022, is to collect this discarded paper and transform it into notebooks.

The impact is significant: 5,000kg of waste have already become 25,000 notebooks, benefiting 15,000 needy students from local government schools and NGOs like Loria Pragatisheel Research and Development Foundation.
