The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation plans to crack down on unauthorised hawkers during the monsoons. The civic body has decided to take stringent action against roadside food stalls, which sell unhygienic food to prevent vector-borne diseases. The hydraulic department has also been instructed to look out for water contamination.
