Drinking water

A novel method is being used by Lifeline Project to provide drinking water to over 1.3 million people in Kenya. Solar powered pumps are used to draw water which is stored in tanks with secure taps. Over 70% of the population has access to M-Pess account on which money is loaded. This is used to top up personal pre-paid Lifeline FOB key that is waved at the sensor. Money is debited and 20lt of drinking water is received, ensuring self sustaining project.
