Dust-free Mumbai!

With increasing number of respiratory diseases among school students, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has planned to make the metropolis dust free. The public works department of the Municipal Corporation already uses mechanized sweeping machines for cleaning the highways whereas the civic roads are manually cleaned by the conservancy staff. BMC now plans to appoint an agency to inspect roads where the possibilities of dust are more due to vehicular pollution. The corporation has also directed the builder/developers to plant trees and cover the site of construction activity thoroughly.
