A group of architecture students from the University of Miami has chosen “eco bathroom” as their project. The students will design and eventually construct an eco friendly prototype for a “mobile bathroom.” The off-the-grid structure will include a composting toilet, shower and a hand sink. These self sustaining toilets will prove beneficial in rural areas and in disaster situations. The ‘eco bathroom’ will serve as a prototype for more such facilities that will hopefully help in serving people who have no access to clean toilets.
