Embassy Services’ initiatives for National Energy Conservation Day

Which is observed on 14th December every year

Embassy Services Private Ltd (ESPL) is driven towards making the business more sustainable with regard to power costs through Embassy Energy. The Embassy Group is diversifying into the burgeoning renewable energy business with a 200 MW solar power plant in Karnataka, thereby capitalising on the immense potential of the sun. The rich expertise provided by the team of Subject Matter Experts led to the partnership with public and private energy providers towards the Wheeling and Banking of renewable energy.

Among the initiatives taken to engage with facility users, the carpooling initiative Green Rider has significantly contributed towards the reduction of 544 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions with a distance of over 22,00,000 kms carpooled. We host an event every year to affirm the benefits of carpooling and award the highest carpool service user.

At ESPL, we also promote the use of public transport. We have partnered with local government bus service providers such as BMTC in Bangalore to extend subsidised monthly passes to our facility users. These passes are also often sponsored by their employers, and has also resulted in a daily carbon reduction of over 1.8 tons of carbon dioxide.
