Facebook to launch ‘Clean India’ mobile app

Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook founder and CEO recently met the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and discussed a wide range of issues including Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and revolving around the innovative use of Facebook as a platform to engage with a large audience in the service of humanity.

Adding to Modi’s idea of sharing ‘Why Clean India’ (Before) and ‘My Clean India’ photos along with a video on Facebook, Zuckerberg said that Facebook would help in the creation of the Clean India Mobile App and that it would be launched soon. This would give a strong impetus to the Swachh Bharat Mission. Mark Zuckerberg also expressed his desire to work with the Government of India in the fields of healthcare, education and provide a gamut of services to the people. Mark said that he is extremely excited about the Digital India initiative the Government of India. The domains are yet to be identified where Facebook can get involved with.
