Frozen’ Bacteria

Getting drinks from fast food joints without ice may be a smart option. According to samples taken from fast food joints in Britain, it has been revealed that in six out of 10 joints, toilets contain fewer bacteria in comparison to the ice machines. In four of the six joints, the level of bacteria in ice exceeds the state hygiene guidelines, enough to be tagged as hygiene risk. The frequent cleaning of toilets and the assumption that ice cannot carry bacteria is responsible for such findings.
