Garbage Free Bangalore

Taking note of the serious problems the City has been facing on account of the garbage menace, the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Deputy Mayor N Dayanand announced that the Palike had planned to introduce about 30 segregation units across the city. As a part of the initiative, two dustbins, one coloured blue for wet and another yellow for dry waste were distributed to 100 homes. The event emphasised on the benefits of effective waste management such as recycling and reusing of plastic, fuel and energy saving.
