Green IIM (A)

Not only is the serene campus of the Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad green, it is also home to green initiatives. The campus is energy efficient, follows proper water management; nearly 400 saplings were planted this monsoon and a ground water recharging systems was also installed this year. The recycled water from the waste water is used for washing utensils, gardening and in toilets. The Institute practises rainwater harvesting and the kitchen waste is sent to vermi-composting. Electronic items like fans and ACs are purchased taking into consideration their energy efficiency ratings and the e-wastes are sold as scrap.
