Highway Clean-up

The Environment Minister of Goa has undertaken an ambitious cleanliness drive to clean up the whole state starting with the NH17 and proceeding to other major roads in the State. The local government authorities are responsible for the collection of non bio-degradable waste in bags and sending it to the incinerators. The state has roped in students from 319 schools across Goa to partake in the one time cleaning of roads, lanes and by lanes near their schools, distributing pamphlets and generating awareness about cleanliness.
