HPC Enterprises Pvt. Ltd Redefining the Hygiene Way

“It is not always easy to get into the shoes of one’s father. I am relearning ways to give flight to what he created so passionately,” says Pruthvi Sanghvi, who has taken the mantle of HPC Enterprises Pvt. Ltd, is a leading manufacturer of professional cleaning solutions. She shares her young strategies of new hygiene ways to set the growth path of HPC and “make Dad proud.”

What is HPC’s legacy that you want to take forward?

HPC (Hygiene and Personal Care) is a customer-centric company. Our core focus is on quality and consistency. We believe that if you provide a quality product, the price will not be an issue. We are so confident in our quality that if a customer is not satisfied, we will take the material back immediately. We do not get into discussions — if a customer is unhappy, we resolve it. This principle is something I learned from my father, and it is a non-negotiable part of our company’s legacy. Our entire team of over 100 people, including five chemists, is dedicated to upholding these standards and meeting customer requirements.

How do you want to see HPC in the next five years?

Creating a more user-friendly marketing strategy, we want to streamline how our customers get information. This means making product details, documentation like MSDS and technical data sheets easily accessible directly from our website. The goal is to eliminate delays and provide a seamless experience. We are also concentrating on expanding our reach by setting up a strong distributor network across the country. The immediate focus is on the eastern regions.

We do not want to be solely focusing on our products right now. Our primary goal is to enhance the overall customer experience. We’ve learned that getting information from us can be challenging for customers, and there is often a lag in getting data or quotations. We are actively working on these pain points by building a more proactive team and creating automated systems on our website. Our team has been mentally tuned to be product-focused, but we are now retraining them to be more customer-centric and proactive.

What are your thoughts on ESG & Net Zero?

We have been operating as a zero-discharge zone for a long time. We do not discard any waste from our factory; it is either reused or recycled. For example, we use our corrugated boxes for internal transport before they go for recycling. This concept is relatively new for the retail and distribution sectors, but manufacturers like us have been following it for years. Additionally, most of our products are made from a single composite material, which simplifies the recycling process for the end user. This commitment to sustainability is part of our company’s DNA.

In terms of innovation, what are new developments you want to make to meet demands?

We specialize in hand care and bathroom products. Our hand hygiene range includes different types of hand washes designed for various industries, such as food processing, pharmaceuticals and engineering. We have developed hand washes that use a minimal amount of water to wash off, which is crucial for water conservation. This is achieved through specific formulations and dispensing systems. We are looking to expand our portfolio into specialty disinfectants and advanced cleaning products to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
