I-PHA launches East chapter

The I-Professional Housekeepers’ Association launched its East chapter, at the recently held 6th Anniversary, Convention and Awards celebrations of the Hospitality Purchasing Managers’ Forum held in Bhubaneshwar.

“It is overwhelming to include another chapter into IPHA, especially the East where hospitality is expanding and housekeepers have a major role to play. We welcome the new members into the fold and also thank Nitin Nagrale, Founder and General Secretary, HPMF, for giving us this platform to launch I-PHA East India chapter,” said Vaishali Sinha, Founder and General Secretary, I-PHA.

The event was attended by more than 250 hotel professionals, including General Managers, Purchase Managers & Executive Housekeepers, Media houses and Vendors from all over the country at the Mayfair Lagoon Hotel.

Inducting the new members, Vaishali said that there was no looking back now and the entire I-PHA committee strives towards assisting housekeeping professionals in their growth and education. The new members of the executive committee appointed included Saumya Ranjan Samantaray – Rooms Division Manager at VITS Bhubaneshwar and Santosh Jena – Executive Housekeeper at Hotels Empires Bhubaneshwar. They will be taking IPHA forward in the entire East India Region under the guidance of Vaishali Sinha and Sonia Mital.

“We thank I-PHA for taking this initiative and this will be a great opportunity to associate with other EHKs across the country,” said Santosh Jena. Adding, Soumyaranjan Samantaray said, “This is a very positive step forward and I am happy to be a part of I-PHA. All EHK’s are in support of I-PHA and we will take this forward successfully.”
