Being one of the exclusive institutes offering specialized training in cleaning, what has been the growth so far?
In 2015, ICSM was formally launched at the 12th Clean India Show in Indore. Since then we have been part of all the Clean India Shows. The Cleaning Industry has appreciated our performance and that has been the source of inspiration during this journey.
We have trained many members across India and had the privilege to be part of the Cleaning Audit team at Ford Motors Plant at Sanand Gujarat and Oyo Rooms to name a few.
What are the different training courses offered by you? What is your training model?
We have been designing and delivering the Cleaning courses to cater to the industry needs. In line with our vision to be recognized as the center of excellence in the field of Cleaning Sciences, ICSM is now an exclusive Associate Partner of BICSc (The British Institute of Cleaning Science). ICSM is the only the 5th global Associate and India is the third country other than the UK and UAE to be included as an International partner for BICSc.
We have defined many courses for the Industry in line with International Standards and will deliver whole range of training from the essential, the basic to the advanced courses in Cleaning Science. ICSM has the BICSc Certified Assessors to help deliver these training in accordance with the BICSc standards.
Which are the major segments that have benefited from the course?
It has been our endeavour to deliver the best in class training for the Facility Management industry keeping in mind the Housekeeping department in our scope of content and delivery. Our services are needed across the industry ranging from manufacturing industry, hospitality, commercial establishments to ICU wards in hospitals.
How is the Clean India Show going to help you propagate ICSM?
Clean India Show is by far the largest platform that brings in the professionals and the industry together to the cause of Cleaning. It would be otherwise a challenge for us to get all the stakeholders right from a tool manufacturer to a dealer in cleaning chemical or a building service provider under the same roof.
We have been highly benefited from Clean India Show. Today, the Cleaning Industry knows us and our capability to deliver the required services as per their demand.
How receptive is the Indian market to give formal training for cleaning?
If we look back to when we started, we can confidently state that the Cleaning Industry in India is in the right path. Swachch Bharat program played a key role to drive the awareness within India. With this growing awareness coupled with the influx of global visitors and their demand, the market is now very receptive to formal training in cleaning from the Hotels and Hospitals to even high net worth individuals and expats demand their staff to maintain international cleaning standards. Hotels, Hospitals and even high net worth individuals and expats demand that their staff maintain international cleaning standard.
What is your strategy in reaching out and creating awareness for training in cleaning in India?
ICSM will follow the hub-and-spoke model with two global centers one each at North and South India. This will ensure both national and regional demands are served with the help of corporate office and setting a couple of Authorized Training Operators within India.
