Increasing Waste on Delhi Roads

National Green Tribunal recently sought for Delhi government’s response over the looming garbage crisis – dumping of municipal waste on the streets– in the City. The notice was issued to the Chief Minister, Delhi, East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) and North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) seeking response under section-26 of the National Green Tribunal Act, 2010. The tribunal also directed the State government and employees of EDMC to ensure that no waste is thrown on city roads.
