IOCL outsources housekeeping

Indian Oil Corporation Limited, a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, is planning to outsource maintenance of washrooms and housekeeping at its office block plants inside Digboi refinery, Assam.

Sunil Phukan, Chief Maintenance Manager, Refinery (Civil) told Clean India Journal, “The job is an annual contract based on open tendering which involves cleaning and housekeeping manually with the help of soaps, detergents and chemicals. Considering the large area of the refinery, including the internal roads, we are looking at adopting mechanised cleaning solutions in the near future.”
