IOCL seeks mechanised cleaning solutions

Indian Oil Corporation Limited, a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, is planning to outsource mechanised cleaning of sub stations and cleaning of transformer yards, switchyard & cable galleries at its Gujarat Refinery.

JS Patel, Sr Manager, Contracts told Clean India Journal, “The cleaning methods deployed by us are a mix of manual and mechanised cleaning. Sweeping machines are used for cleaning floors, flame proof machines are deployed for sensitive areas whereas walls are cleaned manually. We have done trials for complete mechanised cleaning but were unsuccessful. Hence, tenders are floated every year to meet the cleaning requirements.”
