Taking a stern view of littering and other similar transgressions, the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation has now decided to send court notices to people, who have failed to pay fines issued to them for violating health and sanitation laws. The Corporation has also appointed an advocate to file complaints with the chief judicial magistrate, against the defaulters who will then receive court summons.
