Longest broom of India

About 10 women from the slum were trained to make broom. The team leader Suhasini Sakir along with nine others, showcased their talent by making 35 feet long broom which has entered into the India Book of Record officials as a national record. It took the 10 women about two hours to put the broom together at the Maxus Mall, Bhayender, Thane district.

Mayor of Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation Dimple Mehta, Guest of Honour of the occasion unveiled the Largest Broom of India and encouraged the participants. Organised by Will India Change foundation, President Biswadeep Roychowdhury in support of the Clean India movement chose the women from the lower income group to support them and enable them to display their talent. Since the event was organised at the mall, the broom on display became a selfie point for visitors on October 7. The event was sponsored by Freudenberg Gala.
