The forum also discussed various issues pertaining to compliance of SWM 2016 rules on Indian context, necessity of Pre-processing of MSW and the policy matters pertaining to WtE. Various organisations like Ramky Group, Essel Group and Jindal Ecopolis, who have already established Waste to Energy (WtE) projects in India, shared their experiences in the forum. The Japanese organisation JFE Engineering imparted on ‘WtE Development and Bottom Ash Management’, the Finland organisation BMH Technology shared their thought on Significance of Preprocessing and Available Technologies whereas Hitachi Zosen – India, spoke on Optimisation of Capital Costs for WtE projects.
The speakers flooded light on Tariff Procedures, Regulatory Perceptive, Bankability of Concession Agreements, Various Factors Influencing Financial Viability of WtE projects and Analysis of present PPP tender in Waste management Projects which was an eye opener to those who are attempting to get into the WtE sector.
