Mobile toilet on rent

The Chennai Corporation is continuously introducing ways to improve garbage collection in the city. Recently, Mayor M. Subramaniam handed over the keys of specially fabricated mobile toilet vehicles to the civic body drivers.

Each vehicle has eight toilets and two washbasins and up to 1000 people could use the facility without draining off the collected waste. The vehicle could also be hired on daily rental of 500 by people for public functions. The Mayor also handed over the keys of 17 mini compactors, two Bobcat vehicles, a recovery lorry and six lorries to the civic body.
