Model wards in Coimbatore Corporation

The Coimbatore Municipal Corporation recently chose nine model wards out of the 72 on the occasion of World Environment Day. People from these nine wards would be educated by the corporation to store biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste in separate bins (green for biodegradable and white for non-biodegradable). The Corporation would form ward committees, headed by the councillor of the respective ward, to take the message of segregation to the people.
