New Zealand has launched a mobile phone application called ‘My Waste’ that allows a user to find out bin collection times, operating hours, landfill and transfer fees & locations, as well as handy waste tips. The application is free to download and is funded through Ministry for the Environment’s Waste Disposal Levy. The application is already in use in the US and Canada.
