New waste collection vehicles at work in Chandigarh

Public asked to segregate garbage before collection

The newly purchased twin-bin vehicles have started moving in the residential areas of Chandigarh. Governor Punjab-cum-Administrator UT V P Singh Badnore has asked officers to advertise the new initiative among residents. To make residents aware, all these new vehicles send messages to residents regarding segregation of waste.

Advertisements have been placed in newspapers and on radio to inform people so that they can start giving waste in segregated form.
