Soon American landfill experts will be visiting Mumbai’s dumping sites to suggest ways to create new sanitary landfills in the region. The MMRDA has identified six landfill sites in the Mumbai region. The agency has also appointed the National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) to carry out an environment assessment survey.
