The Narmada Hydroelectricity Development Corporation (NHDC) at Omkareshwar, Madhya Pradesh, has planned to outsource cleaning to professional service providers. Speaking to Clean India Journal, Lakhan Single, Sr Manager at Omkareshwar Power Station, said, “The cleaning contractors would be maintaining the administration and the residential buildings (which houses 150 staff) for a period of one year.” The tender released by the NHDC states that the cleaning contractor has to arrange adequate number of cleaning equipment, chemicals and other accessories like brooms, dusting cloths, mops, air-fresheners, liquid soap, glass cleaner and toilet cleaner.
