No facilities for tourists

Chamundi Hills in Karnataka is a tourist attraction for people across the globe but does not have proper facilities for the visitors. According to the temple authorities, about 6.5lakh people visit the hillock on Ashada Fridays and over 5000 everyday. However, the surroundings are polluted, water tanks are unhygienic and there are no toilets or bathrooms atop the hills or cloakroom either. Besides, a place along a wall is used as a dump yard. It is time authorities wake up and provide basic facilities like potable water, parking and lodging.
