No Littering

The Surat Municipal Corporation’s (SMC) health department has submitted a proposal wherein those found spitting, throwing garbage or washing their vehicles on roads are liable to be fined between Rs.500 and Rs.10,000 for each offence.The SMC plans to deploy clean-up marshals to patrol the city streets and penalise the offenders.
