Panchkula Municipal Corporation floats tenders for sanitation work

The Panchkula Municipal Corporation (MC) has floated tenders to outsource sanitation work. The corporation also announced to cut workforce of minimum three people in all wards to assign them sanitation work in other sectors. The move is in line to ensure adequate sanitation and cleanliness across the entire territory. The sanitation work in sectors 1, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 18, that fall in ward no 9, would be outsourced to private contractor. The relieved workforce would be deployed in other areas that facing an acute shortage of sanitation staff.
