Parameswaran Iyer, who was water and sanitation expert at World Bank, joined as Secretary Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation to monitor Swachh Bharat mission. Iyer has more than 20 years of experience in sanitation and water supply projects, including Jal Suraj programme. He will head the mission for two years at least and is expected to bring more positive results to the PM’s flagship mission SBM.
