Perfume from Waste!

Mysore will be the first city in Karnataka to have a plastic waste recycling system.The Mysore City Corporation (MCC) has planned to set up a manufacturing unit to turn plastic into crude oil; with the spin-offs being diesel,kerosene, wax and even a small quantity of perfume. The project, proposed on a three-acre plot, will be established on private-public partnership, with zero investment from the MCC. The project is believed to offer a long-term solution to the disposal of municipal solid waste in the city.
