Plane emission killing Indians

Thousands of people in India and China are being killed as airplanes flying above North America and Europe are emitting pollutants that are poisoning the air in these Asian nations. Due to high speed winds that flow East, the air pollution caused by these planes impacts air quality in India and China, killing nearly 3500 people every year. Aircraft emit nitrogen oxides and sulphur oxides, which react with gases already existing in the atmosphere to form harmful fine particulate matter.
