Plastic-free Delhi?

In a move to make Delhi plasticfree, chief minister Sheila Dikshit has announced a blanket ban on plastic bags under Section 5 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986. The law provides for imprisonment up to five years and fine up to र100,000 or both to the violators. It is expected that in another two months, plastic bags would disappear from the capital.
