Plastic for a cause

How many plastic bottles were Fabiano or Robinho wearing for the FIFA 2010? Hard to believe but the star football players were wearing the jersey made of recycled plastic bottles. Manufactured by Nike, the jerseys are made from recycled polyster, each jersey made from eight bottles. The plastic bottles, collected from landfill sites of Japan and Taiwan, were melted to produce new yarn that was converted into fabric for the shirts. Besides Brazil, other countries which were supporting for the cause were Australia, the Netherlands, South Korea, the US, Serbia and Slovenia.
