Polluting hospitals

The National Green Tribunal has sent notices to five hospitals in Delhi including three government hospitals, for violating the prescribed standards of collection and disposal of bio-medical waste according to the Bio-Medical Waste (Management and Handling) Rules, 1998. A report submitted by an inspection team from Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), saw the tribunal sending show cause notices to the hospitals for compensation.
